Cynthia’s technique originates from the simplicity and soulfulness of her roots in southern Louisiana, which, when combined with her extensive training in classical oil painting, infuses her work with a rich, luscious style that warms the soul.

After moving to San Diego, Cynthia adopted two beautiful dogs, a vizsla named Blue and schnauzer/poodle mix named Emma. Blue and Emma are Cynthia’s art studio companions, and she often paints Blue’s and Emma’s portraits. After friends and collectors saw Blue and Emma on canvas, they asked her to paint their beloved pets, as well.

Fueled by the high demand for such paintings, Cynthia now creates captivating pet portraits, that bring out the unique personalities and characteristics of the wonderful animals in our lives.
